Interview with AGL
1. What sets AGL apart from other growers? What makes you guys great?
Here at AGL, we are entirely focused on producing exceptional medicine for the patients of CT. 2. What innovations can we be expecting from AGL in the near future?
We have some new and exciting products coming to market in 2020 that (we hope) the patients of CT are going to love! We pay very close attention to patient feedback, and you’ll see that some of our upcoming products will meet the needs that have been communicated through patient and dispensary feedback. That said, we don’t want to spoil the surprises we have in store for CT MMP patients, so you’ll have to sit tight for official new product announcements. 3. A few months ago, Green Thumb Industries (GTI) acquired AGL, and you introduced a line of Rythm disposable vape pens, which is a staple brand for GTI. How does being owned by a large, national brand help AGL to further serve patients in Connecticut’s Medical Marijuana Program?
We are very excited to be able to offer the Pure Rythm Disposable Vapes to patients in Connecticut. The CCELL brand hardware is the highest quality disposable we’ve ever brought to the CT market, and we’ve received rave reviews from patients who’ve tried them. We’re very happy to have been acquired by GTI for many reasons, the most important being that our core company values are reflected in GTI’s culture. GTI’s mission statement reads, “We believe everyone deserves the dignity of health and well-being and are on a mission to provide safe, effective and therapeutic medical cannabis nationwide by operating world class cultivation facilities and customer-first retail experiences.” We feel strongly that operating under the GTI umbrella allows us to keep our brand personality and company culture intact, while putting us in a better position to more effectively serve the patients of CT.
4. What is something about cannabis that you wished all patients knew?
We wish that patients understood the importance of the entourage effect, the role terpenes play in the efficacy of medication, and the medicinal benefits of cannabinoids (other than THC and CBD). Unfortunately, on the production side, we are prohibited from offering any advice or statements regarding the medicinal benefits of cannabis or cannabis products, as we are not medical professionals. Because of this, we rely heavily on dispensary technicians and pharmacists at the licensed CT dispensary locations to educate patients about these concepts.
5. I know I can’t ask you why the Fine Fettle dispensaries are your favorites, so instead I’ll just ask: How do you like working with Fine Fettle, and why?
Our favorite thing about working with Fine Fettle Dispensaries is the focus on education. Fine Fettle staff members work one-on-one with their patients to help them choose appropriate products in order to achieve the health benefits they are seeking. Concepts such as the entourage effect and the importance of terpene profiles are covered in detail at Fine Fettle, and that in-depth education allows patients to be able to navigate the program more effectively. We love happy patients, and Fine Fettle goes above and beyond to make their patients happy, so we can honestly say that we LOVE working with the Fine Fettle Fam!
