Tele-what? Telehealth! FF Stimulus Plan and Catching Up With Curaleaf

Greetings #FineFettleFam! We’re less than a week away from the start of our April extravaganza, or, as I like to call it, the Fine Fettle Stimulus Package. While it’s not quite two trillion dollars, it should help you save enough cash for another roll of toilet paper or two. From Monday, April 13th to Saturday, April 18th, you’ll get 15% off your entire purchase (one-time use only). Then, from Tuesday, April 21st to Friday, April 25th, all accessories will be 20% off! Reminder, these offers can be combined with point redemption discounts, so there’s no better time to refer your friends and family to Fine Fettle!

Stay Home, Get Certifed!

Binged all of Tiger King? Participated in a virtual fitness class? Typed up the next great American novel? There’s one more thing that you might want to add to your quarantine checklist: doing your medical marijuana card certification or renewal! Last week, we noted a couple of major changes to the CT MMP, including the authorization of the use of telehealth services for renewals and initial certifications. Telehealth—the use of telecommunication technologies (e.g., telephone or video chat) to meet with a healthcare provider remotely—makes it possible to get certified from the safety of your own home. If you, a friend, or loved one needs to renew or get certified for the very first time, it’s now more convenient than ever before! Feel free to reach out to Fine Fettle for a list of providers who are using telehealth services.

Catching Up With Curaleaf

This issue, we’ll be continuing our conversations with our local producers. This time, Curaleaf’s in the hot seat!

1.    What makes Curaleaf unique and special? What makes you guys great?

We are a mission-based organization that exists to develop and sell products that help people improve their lives, in the way that’s best for them. We work to create clarity around cannabis and confidence around consumption.  Cannabis is highly personal and different for everyone. There is no “one size fits all.”

2.    What innovations can we be expecting from Curaleaf in the near future?

We have a lot of innovative new products in a variety of formulations that will enter dispensaries this year, many of which are so exciting that we can’t provide more information until closer to the point of release.

Curaleaf produces the always popular hybrid flower, Ivory

3.    Curaleaf is the biggest American cannabis company. How does that help you guys? How do you see that affect your ability to bring great or different products to the state of CT?

Being a large cannabis company has helped attract and retain talent in many positions, including those involved with research and development and product formulation. Having these individuals drive innovation allows us to create unique and different products for the patients of CT. We have served over 165,000 patients across the country. This experience provides Curaleaf with the skills to understand how to expertly grow and process medical cannabis and develop products that patients request.

4.    What is something about cannabis that you wished all patients knew?

We are invested in making sure that patients have a strong understanding of the versatility in application and means of ingestion that this plant provides as an approach to health and wellness. It’s important to note that cannabis is a highly personal experience—it is not one size fits all and that’s why it’s important to talk to your medical providers.

5.    Tell us about getting strains in your building. What do you do to make cross-breeds? Do you grow the same strains across America?

We currently don’t cross-breed in our Simsbury facility.  Strains grown in Curaleaf facilities vary based both on available genetics and strains that have proven to be helpful to patients and popular to consumers in the states that have legalized adult use.

6.    What is the hardest part about growing cannabis?

Curaleaf has been fortunate to have its original location in Simsbury and find a suitable location to expand our operations that allowed us to stay in the same town – but finding such a great host town can be difficult in this industry.  On the plant side, designing ideal conditions for all growth stages of the plant also can be difficult, unless you have collaboration between experienced cultivators and skilled engineers.

7.    I know I can’t ask you about why Fine Fettle are your favorite dispensaries, so instead I’ll just ask, “How do you like working with Fine Fettle?”

Curaleaf enjoys working with both Fine Fettle locations for a myriad of reasons including the company’s desire to provide the upmost quality and care to patients, the professionalism of staff, and positive energy and enthusiasm they bring to the CT MMP.
